John Webb
Dr John Webb is Associate Professor of Environmental Geoscience at La Trobe University. The bulk of his research and teaching is on groundwater, both in terms of resources and chemistry, with current research projects on the influence of climate and land-use change on groundwater, improving treatment procedures for acid mine drainage and understanding the formation of acid sulphate soils. He has published over 130 papers (H index 27), been awarded over one million dollars in research funding, and supervised over 100 honours students and 34 PhD students. He has been an invited member of several expert panels to assess groundwater and contaminated site management and has acted as an expert witness in 10 court cases.
